Chris and I decided to take Peyton to Panama City Beach for some much needed family time. We have both been very busy lately and have both had so much on our minds. His Papaw Max and my Papaw Tommy have been in the hospital with Alzheimer's. Chris and I have both been working. When he's off work I depend on him to watch Peyton while I work from home. We have truly forgotten what it's like to spend the whole week together as a family.
As soon as we pulled up to the beach house, we unpacked and headed to the beach! Peyton was a little nervous, but in just a few minutes took off running in the sand. We spent a few hours on the beach and went to eat dinner at Guy Harvey's. After dinner, we walked around Pier Park and rode some of the rides they have. It's funny because they are the same rides I rode as a kid that came from the Miracle Strip Amusement Park when they closed. Peyton loved it!
The next morning, Peyton woke up smiling and looking around. She said,"momma-beach" and started looking for her daddy. It was the cutest thing ever. She was so excited! So, at 7:30 we got up and headed out for breakfast and a Wal-mart trip. Then, beach for the day! Oh, It would take us about an hour to get out of the house because of the sunscreen I had to lather on Peyton and Chris. :) Chris said, " Tam, you married me knowing I was as white as the sand." This is so true! I know I am boring with all the details, but this is my way of remembering our trip years to come. So, that night we had dinner at Sharky's. We got to eat outside on the beach.
The third day was breakfast at Mike's Pancake house. All week Chris was craving a big Allen breakfast. I told him I wasn't cooking on vacation! So, I found him Mike's breakfast. Close enough to his dad's breakfast as I could get! Even shared the same name, Mike. :) That night we had a great dinner at Pineapple Willy's. I recommend the Ribs! So good!
Day Four was beach all day and dinner at Saltwater Grill with my mom and her friend Paula. My mom came into town with her friend Paula to stay at her condo. Great for us, because she took our beach pictures and watched Peyton while Chris and I went to a movie. Oh, Chris and I had purchased a tent before our trip and while at dinner a storm came over. He and I left the restaurant so fast to go rescue our tent, but it was too late. The 20 minute storm demolished the poor tent. Good thing we have a sense of humor. We had such a wonderful time. We are truly blessed that God allowed us this time together. The beach was so beautiful. I hope you enjoy our pictures.
