Our Sweet Girl- Accident Prone like her mommy!

On July 7th, Peyton was playing at the Huntington School gym with some friends and busted her chin on the gym floor. We ended up at the medical center because the cut was so deep. While waiting, Peyton was laughing and running around. The very moment Peyton seen the doctor she said, "Doctor" and I said " yes, baby the doctor is going to make your chin feel better" and she said, " No Doctor, door, bye-bye." Poor baby would have done anything to get out of that doctors office. I don't blame her! So, when the nurses came in to wrap her up for the stitches, she started crying and holding me so tight, with a look saying "Why are you letting them do this to me?". It is such a helpless feeling. They placed her down on the exam table and she was so little and so scared. My heart melted for her. Chris told me that I should leave and everything would be okay in a few minutes. I waited in the hall as my baby cried and screamed. I was worthless. Then the nurse told me I could go in and see her. Chris was holding her with three little stitches in her chin. She was so sweet and loving. My precious baby is so brave.
7 Days later, she was able to get the stitches out! She did great! We went to Mimi's doctor in Georgia. Then, on the 17th at her birthday party. She fell again at Karen and David's house. She decided she would ride Parker's fire truck as far as she could get it to the edge of the step leading into the living room. Losing her balance and tumbling down the step head first. Yes, this leads to busting her chin again in the same place and another trip to the doctor. We ended up getting derma bond this time. It was that or 7 stitches. We couldn't stand the thought of her having to go through the stitches again. However, we still had to hold her down for the derma bond. The doctor told her she was doing great and Peyton replied, " I know" as she was crying on the table. She's so brave! Now, a few weeks later her chin is healing great! We are watching her every step! She is truly just like her mommy- Accident Prone! Chris tells everyone he should go back to school and get a doctor degree! Between me and Peyton and our doctor visits- it would be alot cheaper! Peyton before the age of two has had three sets of stitches, derma bond, and a broken leg.
